
Medical Case Management
Michael Salyer joined OPCC in September of 2016 as a practicum student from the Medical Assisting program at Peninsula College. After completing the externship, he was offered a position as Medical Clinic Manager when the previous manager was preparing to further her education. He has since been an integral part of the growing programs OPCC has to offer. He has had a hand in seeing patients at community events such as Veteran Stand Downs, Wednesday night Shelter Clinics, Medical Outreach, our Medical Respite, and now Medical Case Management. He is currently in the process of further his education to pursue a Registered Nursing License.
Prior to joining OPCC, Michael served as a U.S. Army specialist repairing missile systems out of Fort Campbell, KY and FOB Salerno Afghanistan. Upon leaving the military, he moved to Port Angeles and worked as a 911 dispatcher for a short time before returning to school and entering the medical field.

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Kim Conley spent most of her career in emergency services, having worked as a paramedic, ER nurse, ICU nurse, Critical Care Transport Nurse, and Flight nurse. She's worked with Critical Incident Stress Management Teams providing peer support since 1998 and currently volunteers with the Clallam County Critical Incident Stress Management Team. She's looking forward to using her background and skills to help promote mental health care in Clallam County and as a member of the OPCC team.

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Retired Volunteer
Janet Nickolaus has been a registered nurse since 1977. She completed her advanced practice degree in 1987 from Oregon Health Sciences University. Since then, she has developed three programs for advanced practice nurses within 3 county jails. She has experience in community mental health settings and has practiced in a remote bush village in Alaska. She is proud to have worked with veterans for no less than 14 years. She came to OPCC in 2019 and participates in Wednesday night clinics at the local homeless shelter.
Janet Retired from OPCC in January of 2025 but has stayed on as a volunteer to help fill in when needed.

AJA Case Management
Candice Kolocheski joined OPCC/REdisCOVERY as an AJA Case Manager in Feb. 2022. She has been in social service for over 12 years with 10 of those years in the many facets of the housing sector, working with those experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Before coming to the REdisCOVERY team, she had worked as the Director of Coordinated Entry for Clallam County.

AJA Case Management - Forks
JoAnna Boston provides arrest and jail alternative case management to the West End. JoAnna has close ties to the Forks community and is passionate about serving rural areas. JoAnna started with OPCC in 2023 after working in social services for seven years. With an educational background in chemical dependency, her own values and lived experience, she is able to provide community-minded case management to the residents of Clallam County.

AJA Case Manager
Robin Konopaski has lived in Port Angeles all her life and is passionate about her community. As someone with lived experience, Robin provides a unique skillset to both outreach and the medical respite programs. Robin’s
passion for her community started as a shelter worker where she began to ask herself “how can I help more?”. A valued asset to our medical respite team, Robin is selfless in her devotion to the OPCC family and the care we provide as an agency, devoting her weekends to OPCC's outreach team and provides meaningful, competent care to our medical respite patients. Robin often says to our team, our partners, and our participants, “Is a job really a job if you love what you do?”

Outreach Specialist
Kendall McComb started with REdisCOVERY in 2022 after being approached by a member of OPCC staff at her old clean and sober house. Kendall has lived experience on the streets and knows the difficulties of not knowing where to begin when it comes to finding resources in the community. She is now a Re-Entry specialist, working under the MOUD program in the Clallam County Correctional facility, helping clients get through the first steps for their recovery started before they are released back into the community.

Outreach Specialist
Abigail Barnett joined the OPCC REdisCOVERY team in February 2023. She was born and raised in Port Angeles and has worked in the social services field for 2 years. Abigail has been able to use her lived experience involving substance use and behavioral health disorders to fiercely advocate for our participants.

Outreach Specialist
Monica Wollam joined our team in November 2023. Since then, she has worked as an AJA Case Manager and has now moved into her role as the H.O.P.E. (Help, Opportunity, Prevention, and Education) Reentry Coordinator in our MOUD program in the Clallam County Correctional Facility. She has considerable knowledge of time management scheduling and lived experience. She is very active in her recovery and with her AA community. Monica holds certifications as a Certified Peer Counselor (CPC) and a certification in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA). In her off time, she enjoys riding bikes with her family, and chilling with her dogs.
